In talking about the bands’ “hard edged realism”, the Casco Bay Weekly has said, “(Eden) achieves a level of intimacy and beauty that is rare in any genre today.” Face Magazine declared, “The interaction between musicians paints a musical portrait of highly attuned musicians…The sound… effectively entices the listener, transporting us momentarily while encouraging us to become more aware of who and what we are.”

FINAL EPISODE OF “JOSHUA EDEN AND THE DIFFERENCE” TO AIR ON MAY 23RD.

The Insurrectionist Network has announced that it’s long-running docu-drama “Joshua Eden and the Difference” will be ending its multiple year run on Sunday, May 23rd at 8pm at the famed Brian Boru in Portland. Please note that this is a special early time slot. They will commemorate their run with a live performance and will also be presenting their new CD, appropriately titled “Joshua Eden and the Difference.”

“Joshua Eden and the Difference” has been a socially-charged, wildly imaginative and dynamic reality series that has pushed the bounds of rock, troubadour songs, rebel music and fairy tales in many local appearances. It has been an audience favorite in the local market for many years, but has been largely overlooked by critics. Starring Joshua Eden as “Vocalist, Songwriter and Guitarist,” he has proved a strong starring lead presence. He has been joined faithfully by longtime cast members Patrick Johnson in the role of “Bassist” and Todd the Rocket Richard in the role of “Drummer.” This past season, they were joined by regular guests Chris Nemitz as ”Piano and Keys” and Daemian Allen as “Sax”.

“Joshua Eden and the Difference” originally aired with this cast in May of 2003. They were hardly new to each other, though, as they had spent many years together in it’s preceeding incarnation, “Ishai’s Story.”

Citing the need to stretch his legs, the lanky Eden has opted out of the next season, instead preferring to bicycle across the country. He returns to this area in May of 2005. When asked about a possible reunion of this cast after this epic trek, Eden replied “Anything is possible at the Insurrectionist Network.”

At this final show, there will be available for purchase an audio CD containing excerpts from the past season. Recorded at Studio Dual, the CD is seven tracks of reality programming.

“Joshua Eden and the Difference” celebrate their final episode on Sunday, May 23rd at Brian Boru in Portland. They will begin at 8pm, and will be followed by special guests Daniel Boyden and Lyle Divinsky. There will be no cover charge, but they will be glad to accept donations and encourage all their guests to purchase a CD.
